A serious collision in College Heights Thursday (Nov 5) morning has sent one person to hospital and the driver of a pickup truck is in jail…
Police say the incident occurred just before 9:30 AM on Domano Blvd at McGill Crescent intersection, near Save-On-Foods. When officers arrived at the scene, they located a 54 year-old woman suffering from serious injuries as a result of being struck by the pickup. She was taken to UHNBC for treatment. Officers then closed off a section of Domano Blvd for investigation.
At around 2:30 PM, officers reopened the road and arrested the male driver, a 48 year-old. The man was arrested as part of the investigation as officers believe alcohol to be a contributing factor in the incident.
If anyone has dashcam video or witnessed the incident, please give the RCMP a call at 250-561-3300. The male driver was held overnight and is expected to be in court today.
