Police are asking for dash cam video following a vehicle incident early Tuesday morning on 1st Ave and Victoria…

Police say at around 4:30 AM, a collision between a grey Honda CRV and a pedestrian occurred at the intersection. The pedestrian was taken to UHNBC for treatment and has since died from injuries sustained in the collision. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and has been co-operating with RCMP.

“The vehicle was traveling westbound along 1st Avenue when the collision occurred. Investigators are asking that anyone who was passing through the area at the time and either witnessed the incident or has dash camera footage of the incident or the driving behaviour of the vehicle involved, to please contact the Prince George RCMP non-emergency line to speak with police,” states Corporal Jennifer Cooper, BC RCMP spokesperson for Northern B.C.

Police had the intersection closed for a significant period as the RCMP Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (CARS) assisted in collecting information from the collision site.

If you have dash came video, please contact the RCMP at 250-561-3300.
