The Fort St. John RCMP is currently looking to identify and locate the suspect in a violent home invasion that occurred on October 27, 2026…
Police say, the incident occurred around 11:00 PM, when an unknown man entered a residence on the 8900-block of 87 Street after following one of the female residents to her home. He was initially scared out of the residence by those at the house, police were called and a neighbourhood search ensued.
The man was not located by police during this time and the search was called off. Later, the man re-entered the home, where he sexually assaulted a second resident, before being scared off again. Police were called to the home and have been working diligently to identify the suspect. The Fort St. John General Investigative Section has taken conduct of the investigation.
“Local RCMP find this behaviour very concerning and believe he may attempt to reoffend. They are asking that anyone in the area who witnessed the man in the neighbourhood, or who may have captured his movements on their video surveillance or dash cameras please contact the Fort St John non-emergency line at 250-787-8140 to speak with a police officer,” states Corporal Jennifer Cooper, BC RCMP Spokesperson for Northern B.C.
The suspect is described as:
- Possibly in his mid-thirties
- Tall
- Heavier set
- Has a beard
- Wearing black pants, a black hoodie and a hat at the time of the offense
