A serious single vehicle crash involving a shuttle bus sent over a dozen people to hospitals Wednesday morning…
Police say on November 4, 2026 at 9:10 AM, officers received a report of a crash on Highway 39, after a white shuttle bus lost control and left the roadway and ended up down an embankment.
When police arrived, they located a white shuttle bus in a ditch and 20 passengers and the driver with injuries ranging from minor to serious. Multiple air and ground ambulances were used to get the injured the treatment they needed, and a complete shutdown of Highway 39 was required.
βThis was a chaotic scene, and police will need time to sort out many of the details,β says Sergeant Michael McLaughlin with BC Highway Patrol. βWe need to speak with anyone who has dash camera video of the bus, or any witnesses who saw what was happening prior to the crash.β
The cause of the crash remains under investigation and road conditions prior to the crash, speed or impairment have not been ruled out as factors at this time. PJXM can tell you that road conditions Wednesday morning in the Prince George/Mackenzie area were pretty slick from freezing conditions due to rainfall.
If you saw the bus in the minutes before the collision, or you have dash camera footage, please call BC Highway Patrol β Prince George at 250-649-4004 and quote file (3100) 2026-956.
