Police, fire, and ambulance services arrived on scene and located a semi with trailer that had exited the road to the right, rolling and coming to rest in the ditch. The semi had been traveling northbound at the time of the crash.
A single male driver was located deceased on scene.
The Fort St. John Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Services unit attended, their investigation is on going.
“Our hearts go out to the family during this tragic loss,” said Constable Chad Neustaeter, Media Relations Officer for the Fort St John RMCP. “At this time there is no criminality being attributed to this file.”
The road remained closed for the entire afternoon and early evening while crews remained on scene. The road was reopened around midnight.
