PRINCE GEORGE, BC: One man has been arrested after stealing a BC Transit bus on Edmonton Street near UHNBC Thursday morning…

Police say just after 8 AM, officers received a report of a city bus that was taken by an unknown man on the 1400 block of Edmonton Street.

Police located the bus on Highway 16 West in College Heights. The suspect stopped the bus when he saw police officers at the intersection of Domano Road and Moriarty Crescent.

With the assistance of a Police Dog Service team, officers arrested the suspect and he was subsequently transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police officers were able to stop the bus and arrest the suspect within 15 minutes of the theft being reported to police.
