MACKENZIE, BC: Three people have been arrested after allegedly taking over a home unlawfully on Saturday…

Police say on January 29, 2022, Mackenzie officers received a report that three to four people allegedly took possession of a house on Laurier Cres, forcing the homeowner to leave.

Police set up surveillance on the house and conducted traffic stops on two vehicles leaving. Three people were arrested and three shotguns, two of which were loaded, were seized.

During the investigation, suspected drugs and items in keeping with drug trafficking was seized. Police Dog Services from Prince George were called in to assist.

“All three people, who are not from Mackenzie, were later released and the investigation continues. The matter will be forwarded to BC Prosecution Services for review of charges,” said Sgt. Jayson Davidson, NCO i/c Mackenzie RCMP.
