PRINCE GEORGE, BC: An arrest has been made and charges have been laid in the homicide of a Prince George woman back in August 2020…

On August 1, 2020, the Prince George RCMP received a report of a body discovered approximately 40 kilometers east of Prince George.

The remains were identified as being 34-year-old Crystal Chambers from Prince George and an autopsy determined that Chambers was the victim of a homicide.

An investigation was conducted by the BC RCMP Major Crime Section – Criminal Investigation Unit (CIU), with the assistance of the BC RCMP North District Major Crime Section and the Prince George RCMP.

As a result of significant developments, Jason Troy Getty was arrested by the CIU on December 17, 2021 in Surrey.

Jason Troy Getty has been charged with one count of Second Degree Murder and one count of Indignity to Human Remains by the BC Prosecution Service.

Jason Troy Getty was previously a resident of Prince George and was known to Crystal Chambers.
