UPDATED: Human remains recovered east of Prince George…

August 7 UPDATE: It is with great sadness we report that remains found this week are those of Crystal Chambers. Crystal was 34 years-old. Condolences goes out to family and friends of Crystal Chambers.

PRINCE GEORGE, BC: On the afternoon of Saturday August 1, 2020, the Prince George RCMP with the assistance of the Prince George Search & Rescue Society, recovered human remains near Highway 16, approximately 40 kilometres east of Prince George.

This investigation is in its early stages, however police do not believe there are any public safety concerns.

The BC Coroners Service has been notified and is conducting a parallel fact-finding investigation to determine cause of death.

Further details may be released as the investigation continues.
