PRINCE GEORGE, BC: Residents are advised that both lanes of North Nechako Road will be closed near Michael Road starting tomorrow evening while crews install an important sanitary service connection. Local traffic will still have access to the area, as will emergency vehicles.
The operation will start early at roughly 7:00pm on Wednesday, September 2, and is expected to be completed by Friday, September 4. The operation is being completed prior to the Labour Day long weekend to avoid the increased traffic disruption that would occur if the project were carried out after school has resumed. Much of the work will be done at night also in an effort to reduce inconvenience to motorists.
Motorists are encouraged to exercise caution around the work zone and follow signage and directions from the construction crew and traffic controllers.
The City of Prince George wishes to thank residents for their patience and understanding as crews complete this operation.
