TERRACE, BC: Three Terrace area men received numerous criminal convictions following court appearances in December.
Mark Barg, age 48 of no fixed address, appeared in court Dec. 20, 2017 and was convicted of offences including: two counts of Theft Under $5,000 and three counts of Fail to Comply with a Probation Order.
After receiving three days of credit for time served, Barg’s sentence included 177 days remaining to be served in jail, with a probable discharge date of April 16, 2018.
Matthew Janzen, age 38 of Thornhill, was convicted on December 15, 2017, of Possessing a Firearm contrary to Prohibition related to a break and enter file from January 21, 2016, Possession of Stolen Property and two counts of Breach of recognizance.
After receiving seven days credit for time served, Janzen had 85 days remaining to be served in jail, with a probable discharge date of February 9, 2018.
Clayton Jordan, age 33 of Thornhill, was convicted of Theft Under $5,000 and Failure to Comply with a Probation Order following a court appearance on December 20, 2017.
After receiving 10 days of credit for time served, Jordan had 50 days outstanding to be served in jail. His probable discharge date is January 21, 2018. Jordan is also awaiting court for numerous other charges, including: Possess a Prohibited Weapon with Ammunition, Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Careless Use of a Prohibited Weapon, Breach of Recognizance, and Breach of Undertaking.
