UPDATE – Highway 29 is now open in both directions. It reopened just before 4 am. There are no further details at this time on what happened.
Just to note, RCMP media officers in Northern and Central BC do not work weekends therefore there will be no information on what happened until this coming week. It has been this way for over 10 years, if not longer! That is no fault of the news media.

Motorists in the BC Peace be advised that Highway 29 between Pioneer Rd and Johnson Creek road, south of Hudson’s Hope is CLOSED due to a vehicle incident.
The highway could be closed until 4 AM on July 8.
