Fire causes $200,000 in damage to home on Old Cariboo Rd…

On April 24, 2023, at around 19:30 hours, crews from three firehalls responded to a report of a structure fire on the 1600 block of the Old Cariboo Highway.

• On arrival, crews found smoke billowing from the front door of the residence
• Crews quickly extinguished the fire.
• No injuries were sustained to the public or to fire personnel.
• Damage to the structure is estimated at $200,000.
• The cause of the fire is under investigation.
