The Dawson Creek RCMP is sending out a warning to homeowners following several complaints of a group of individuals offering to pave residential driveways…

Police say the group of individuals are using a legitimate business name, Eco Line Paving, to gain trust from the homeowner to pave their driveway. The individuals typically prepare the ground, start the job, accept payment for the job, but they never complete it.

Police have confirmed Eco Line Paving is not operating in British Columbia but it is believed individuals are impersonating employees of the company.

The RCMP has received several reports of such scams and urges homeowners to be cautious when dealing with such individuals. Do not accept an offer on the spot but instead do some diligence into the company before accepting any deal.

If anyone has been approached by individuals claiming to work for Eco Line Paving and offering to pave their driveway, please report the information to the Dawson Creek RCMP at 250-784-3700.
