Ended… Heavy snow in the forecast for Prince George on Monday…

Ended as of 3:30am Tuesday.

UPDATE: Snow will begin this morning and end after midnight. Up to 20 cm by Tuesday morning. Blowing snow is in the forecast for this evening with wind gusts up to 60 km/h. Strong winds will cause poor visibility and snowdrifts on local roads so please drive carefully. As of 8 am, Monday February 20. Next forecast update after 4 pm.

For motorists headed back home on Monday, be wary about the upcoming forecast for the Prince George region…

The latest forecast model suggests 10 to 20 cm of snow for our region beginning late Monday morning, with the heaviest to fall during Monday evening and into the overnight Tuesday.

Windy conditions could also make travel tricky. Gusty winds up to 60 km/h are in the forecast. Check DriveBC for more information on road conditions on Monday.

Also, temperatures are going to drop this coming week back down to the minus 25 range, with the possibility of it becoming colder by the end of the week.
