FORT ST. JOHN, BC: Police from Terrace, BC, and Houston, BC, along with the Fort St. John RCMP, are asking for the public’s help in locating a man last seen in November 2021…

Missing is 56-year-old Leon Benjamin Sinclair.

Throughout the course of the investigation, which began in October 2022, police have followed up on different leads and believe that Sinclair may have been in the Terrace area as recently as November 18, 2022, based on a witness statement. It is believed that Sinclair is actively avoiding police.

It was just recently suggested to RCMP that Sinclair could be in the Fort St. John area. Police are now asking the community to be on the lookout for Sinclair as of January 2023.

Sinclair may be using the aliases of “Evan Sinclair” or “Evan Leon.”

Below is the original story…

Sinclair was first reported missing on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, when Houston RCMP received a report of a missing person. Family reported that they had not seen Sinclair since November 2021. Leon was last seen at Aurora Towing & Heavy Haul Ltd.’s yard in Houston, BC.

Sinclair used to live within the Fish River community of Manitoba, but he has not been seen in that area in a long time. His last known phone number has been deactivated since January 2022. There was some indication that he did live in the Yukon but left the area some time ago.

In a media release on Dec 28, 2022, it states Sinclair was believed to have been residing at an address in the New Remo area of Terrace at one point, and in the Thornhill area at another time. He is also believed to have frequented the Northern Motor Inn Restaurant in Terrace, BC.

Witnesses in Terrace say they believe they have seen Sinclair, however, investigators have not been able to confirm the sightings and say it is possible that he has moved on to a new location as of January 2023.

Sinclair is believed to be actively avoiding police knowing that he has outstanding warrants for his arrest that are outside of British Columbia.

Police are asking the public not to engage with Sinclair, but to report any sightings, paying close attention to the date, time, location and a physical or clothing description.

Black hair
Usually wears jeans, t-shirts and leather loafers
