Police say on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at 7:45 PM, officers responded to a complaint of shots fired near a retail store on the 1600-block of 15th Avenue (Parkwood Mall area).
Witnesses to the event say they saw two men in an altercation and then heard a gunshot. Neither the victim nor the suspect stayed at the location and immediately fled the area.
The suspect who fired a shot fled in an older vehicle which is described as a white or gold coloured four-door car.
The male victim who attended UHNBC was suffering from a non-life threatening injury.
