Several people arrested following two separate traffic stops in Prince George…

Prince George RCMP made some significant weapons seizures during a pair of vehicle stops last week.

The first traffic stop occurred on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, shortly after 6:20 PM. Officers conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle on the 1100-block of 3rd Avenue. While speaking with the occupants of the vehicle, police located a firearm on the floor in the back seat.

Police arrested the four occupants for weapons related offenses. A subsequent search of the vehicle located several more weapons inside. All four occupants were transported to the Prince George RCMP Detachment and held for court.

The B.C. Prosecution Service approved the following charges in this matter:

Joshua Darrick Suvee-Forsythe

  • Unauthorized Possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle x2
  • Possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Careless use of a firearm
  • Possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to order

Sakanisin Scotty Charlie Charlie-Tom

  • Unauthorized Possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle x2
  • Possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Careless use of a firearm
  • Possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to order x3
  • Fail to comply with probation x3

Autumn Angeline Graham

  • Unauthorized Possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle x2
  • Possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Careless use of a firearm
  • Obstruct a police officer
  • Fail to comply with release order x2

James Kenneth Mason

  • Unauthorized Possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle x2
  • Possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Careless use of a firearm
  • Fail to comply with release order

The second traffic stop occurred on December 1, 2022 shortly after 10:00 AM. Officers located a vehicle near 5th Avenue and Ottawa Street that fled from the area at a high rate of speed.

Shortly afterwards, the vehicle was located stopped part way through the intersection at 3rd Avenue and Queensway. Police conducted a traffic stop with the vehicle and saw what appeared to be drug paraphernalia around the driver.

The driver, identified as Jamie Wade Fatum, was arrested for impaired driving. A subsequent search of the vehicle located a loaded firearm on the floor behind the passenger seat as well as suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine.

The B.C. Prosecution Service approved the following charges in this matter:

  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
  • Transporting a firearm in a careless manner
  • These two traffic stops took five known offenders off of our streets, as well as several firearms and a large quantity of drugs. Prince George RCMP is committed to disrupting the illicit drug trade in our city, which brings an unacceptable level of violence to our streets, states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

These files remain under investigation. All suspects will remain in custody until their next court appearances.
