PRINCE GEORGE, BC: One man has been arrested following a weapons complaint this past Saturday…
Police say on Saturday, July 9, 2022, just before 10:00 PM, officers responded to a weapons complaint outside a residence on the 1900 block of Central Street East. Witnesses stated they saw two men in an argument and that one man pointed what appeared to be a gun at the other, before leaving the area on foot.
Police began patrols in the area and located the suspect a few blocks away on 20th Ave and Massey Drive. Investigators arrested the man and located a firearm in his back pack. He was subsequently arrested and held for court.
The man, identified as 25-year-old, Prince George resident Michael Campbell-Alexander, is known to police for similar offenses. He will remain in custody until his next court date.
The B.C. Prosecution Service approved the following charges in this matter:
- Pointing a firearm
- Possession of a loaded prohibited/restricted firearm
- Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited/restricted firearm
- Possession of a weapon for the purpose of committing an offence
- Possession of a firearm/ammunition contrary to order
- Possession of a firearm knowing the serial number is tampered with
- Possession of a firearm/ammunition contrary to order
- Transport of a firearm contrary to regulations
- Possession of ammunition for the purpose of committing an offence
