FORT ST. JOHN, BC: Police in Fort St. John are asking for the public’s help following an arson fire at a local car dealership Thursday morning…

Police say on February 24 at 5:33 AM, officers were called to attend the Murray GM parking lot to investigate three vehicles reported to be on fire.

When RCMP and Fire services arrived on scene, they found four vehicles, three pickup trucks and a car, damaged by fire. The origin of the fire has been deemed suspicious. There were no injuries as all four vehicles were unoccupied at the time.

“The investigation is in the early stages but police have reason to suspect this may be a targeted event”, said Constable Chad NEUSTAETER, Media Relations Officer for the Fort St John RCMP. “We are asking the public that if anyone saw anything or anyone suspicious departing the area or has dash cam video of the area at the time, please call police.

Fort St. John RCMP continue to investigate and are asking anyone with information to contact police by calling the Fort St John RCMP at 250-787-8100.
