RCMP thanking sharp-eyed witnesses…

PRINCE GEORGE, BC: Mounties in Prince George are thanking several sharp-eyed witnesses for reporting some recent suspicious activity.

Police say on Friday, September 17, 2021, the Prince George RCMP received a call from a person who could hear a loud argument going on and believed they saw something suspicious being loaded into the trunk of a nearby car.

Through their investigation, Frontline members located and seized several illegal firearms. Police arrested two of the persons involved for being in violation of their court-ordered conditions not to be in possession of firearms and a third person for unauthorized possession of a firearm. Investigators released all three men with future court dates.

Several days later, on Monday, September 20, 2021, police received a report of two people near a shopping centre with what looked like stolen merchandise. Frontline members arrived at the location and located two men matching the description provided.

This investigation resulted in police arresting one of the men for breaching his court-ordered conditions, not to be in possession of firearms, as they located a firearm on him.

The B.C. Prosecution Service approved the following charges against Jordan Louis BEAR, a 26-year-old Quesnel resident:

  • Obstructing a Police Officer
  • Fail to Comply with Release Order

BEAR will remain in custody until his next court appearance.
