WILLIAMS LAKE, BC: Two youths and an adult male could be facing charges following an incident with Williams Lake RCMP…
Police say on Friday, May 14, 2021 at approximately 9:30 AM, officers responded to calls of gunshots in the area of Dog Creek Road and Bond Lake Road.
It was reported that a woman, associated to a silver coloured Jeep was firing a long gun near several residences in the area.
Police immediately responded and located the vehicle on a trail near Bond Road and saw multiple residences in close proximity to the Jeep.
As police arrive on scene, a man was standing at the driver’s door. When police ordered the man to get onto the ground, he got in the Jeep and drove away.
Police followed the vehicle and could see a woman in the passenger seat who pointed a long gun out the window and appeared to be aiming the gun in preparation to fire it.

The officer made vehicle contact with the rear of the Jeep and the driver stopped within a short distance. The driver was immediately arrested without further incident and the passengers, who were youths, were safely returned to their mother.
Given the severity, the driver has been held in custody for a court appearance. The investigation is ongoing and several firearm related offences and impaired driving charges are being considered.
