Can you ID this car thief?..

PRINCE GEORGE, BC: The Prince George RCMP is asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect in an auto-theft file…

Shortly before 5:00 AM on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, the Prince George RCMP received a report of a theft of taxicab from a residence on the 3600 block of Romanin Place.

The driver of the taxi stated he started the taxi to warm it up and left the keys inside the running vehicle. When he returned 15 minutes later, the vehicle was gone.

Frontline members located the taxi approximately 25 minutes later, parked and unoccupied. Police obtained surveillance from inside the taxi and are looking for any information on the suspect seen in this photograph.

“Once again, police are reminding the public that it is not safe to leave your vehicle running, with the keys inside, unoccupied for any length of time. It takes mere seconds for thieves to take your vehicle in these circumstances,” states Cst. Jennifer Cooper of the Prince George RCMP.

If you can help ID the suspect, please contact the Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
