Male suspect arrested following Property Crime incidents…
PRINCE GEORGE, BC: Just after 7:30 PM on September 1, 2020, the Prince George RCMP received a report of a man attempting to break into vehicles along the 400 block of Douglas Street in Prince George.
Frontline officers attended the area and located the suspect. An attempt was made to arrest him, however officers were met with resistance, including a knife. Officers were able to successfully handcuff him without further incident.
Further investigation led police to believe that the suspect was also responsible for slashing a number of vehicle tires on the street and entering at least one residence unlawfully.
The 28 year-old man from the New Hazelton, B.C. area was believed to have been intoxicated by drugs at the time of the arrest. He was held in custody until sober and then released with documents for a future court date. Once the investigation is complete, the file will be forwarded to the BC Prosecution Service for charge assessment.
