PRINCE GEORGE, BC: Six individuals are in custody following a firearms incident early Friday morning…

Police say at approximately 4:00 AM, officers received a firearms report related to a residence on the 2600 block of Oak Street.

Officers attended the scene and secured the area and called in The North District RCMP’s Emergency Response Team to assist.

Residents in the immediate area were spoken to and advised of the situation.

At approximately 11:00 AM, occupants of the residence were taken into custody without further incident. In all, a total of five males and one female associated to this residence were taken into custody. Officers seized an AK-47 style firearm.

This investigation is in its early stages. Further updates may be provided as they become available.
