DAWSON CREEK, BC: Two people have been arrested following a series of events in Dawson Creek…
Police say on August 7, officers responded to a report of suspicious activity at a local business in the city. The staff of the business noticed unusual behaviour and contacted police providing a description of the individuals as well as the vehicle they got into.
A short time later, the vehicle was seen leaving a known drug house in the city and police attempted to stop the driver. The driver fled making multiple attempts to evade the police. The driver eventually stopped and was arrested without further incident. The passenger in the vehicle was also arrested.
During the investigation investigators recovered a stolen 9mm Chiappa rifle with a loaded magazine. A box of 9mm ammo along with a metal airsoft handgun with a live .22 cal round in the breech.

Further evidence led investigators to executing search warrants at two separate homes in Dawson Creek on August 10. Officers seized suspected cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl, over $4000 in cash and multiple firearms.
Both suspects were held in police custody for a court appearance today, August 11.
