UPDATE: Mandy Kathaleen TRAHAN, 28, from Kelowna has been charged by the BC Prosecution Service with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Assault with a weapon
- Assault causing bodily harm
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
Trahan was held in custody overnight and will attend court later today.
PRINCE GEORGE, BC: On Sunday March 15 at approximately 10:10 AM, the Prince George RCMP received a report of a stabbing that had occurred on the 1200 block of 2nd Avenue in Prince George.
Frontline officers attended the area immediately. The suspect was located and arrested near 4th Avenue and Queensway less than ten minutes after the initial call to police.
The adult female victim was treated and transported to hospital by paramedics. Injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
The 28 year-old female suspect was held in custody and will be attending court later today, pending charge approval by the BC Prosecution Service.
