The Williams Lake RCMP wish to provide an update on the previously reported shots fired complaint from August 30, 2018.

Following an extensive investigation, Daine Alphonse, 30, was arrested and charged with the following offences:

– Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose;
– Unlawfully discharge a firearm;
– Use of a firearm to commit an indictable offence;
– Careless use of a firearm.

He remains in custody.

WILLIAMS LAKE, BC: On Friday August 30, 2018 at 1:20 AM, a Williams Lake resident reported that their house had been struck by a bullet. The house, in the 300 Block of 9th Ave, was occupied at the time and thankfully no one was injured.

Investigation to date suggests that there were two males responsible and as such, one male has been identified and has been arrested by Williams Lake RCMP.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone who may have information on this matter is asked to call the Williams Lake RCMP at 250 392-6211 or Crime Stoppers at 1 800 222-8477.
