KELOWNA, BC: RCMP and the BC Coroners Service have now positively identified the remains of a man discovered Thursday evening in West Kelowna. The investigation into the mans death continues and is being led by the BC Coroners Service, supported by the West Kelowna RCMP.

On August 2, 2018 at 8:17 pm, emergency crews responded to a report of a man down complaint, where a member of the general public spotted an individual laying approximately 200 metres down an embankment, from the intersection of Campbell Place and Campbell Road in West Kelowna. Emergency officials arrived on scene and confirmed that the individual was in fact deceased.

UPDATE

“The remains of a man discovered below the roadway, near the intersection of Campbell Road and Campbell Place in West Kelowna, have now been positively identified by investigators”, says RCMP Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey. “The deceased has been identified as a 31 year-old Kelowna man. The man’s family have since been notified of his sudden passing.”

“As a result of the investigation to date, police do not believe that criminality was involved in his death”, adds RCMP Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey.
