Police say sometime between 9 PM Sunday night and 8 AM Monday morning, suspects entered the mall and targeted several areas but had mainly focused on a bank machine.
It is believed the suspect(s) spent a considerable amount of time breaking into the ATM and taking an undisclosed amount of cash from inside the machine.
Quesnel RCMP investigators as well as the Williams Lake RCMP Forensic Identification Unit attended and conducted a forensic analysis of the crime scene. The investigation into this matter is still active and ongoing.
Quesnel RCMP asks anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the area of the Maple Park Mall to contact the RCMP at 250-992-9211 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
