Drugs, stolen groceries and firearm seized…

QUESNEL, BC: Three people have been arrested following an incident at a fast food restaurant in Quesnel on Monday…

Police say at approximately 4:30 PM, a manager of the restaurant on Juniper Rd observed an occupant in the drive-thru that had spit at an employee the day prior. Due to this behaviour, the manager asked the man to leave. When he refused, Police were called to diffuse the escalating situation.

When police arrived on scene, officers observed a large quantity of packaged meat on the back seat of the vehicle. This meat was suspected of being recently stolen from a local grocery store.

Three occupants in the vehicle were arrested for being in Possession of Stolen Property and the vehicle was searched incidental to the arrest.

Police located a quantity of drugs, suspected to be Methamphetamine and Heroin, along with a loaded semi-automatic handgun inside the vehicle.

All three were returned to RCMP cells and later released for upcoming court dates. The matter is still under investigation with several charges pending.
