PRINCE GEORGE, BC: A high-risk wanted man is in custody following an Emergency Response Team deployment this morning…
On August 11th, 2017 at approximately 5:30 AM the Prince George RCMP with the assistance of the North District RCMP Emergency Response Team, converged on a residence on the 500 block of Alward Street to locate and arrest a wanted man believed to be in possession of weapons.
At approximately 8:25 AM, Julien Naseem Yasin LAZARRE, age 19, was taken into custody without incident. LAZARRE was wanted for Failing to Comply with his Sentence and is under investigation for other recent offences in our community.
During this police operation, 5th Avenue from Wainwright Street to Carney Street and a portion of Alward Street was closed to the public. This closure was necessary for the safety of the police and the public in that area. Fifth Avenue has now been re-opened to the public, however a small portion of Alward Street will remain closed for approximately 30 more minutes.
