Two people were taken to UHNBC this morning following a hit and run incident involving a pickup truck and cyclists…
Police say the incident occurred at around 9:00 AM on Ospika Blvd North between McIntyre Cres and McRae Road when the driver of a newer model Dodge Ram hit two cyclists riding along the side of the road. The driver of the truck fled the scene while the two cyclists suffered serious injuries.
“Police officers are looking for anyone with video surveillance, dash camera footage or cell phone video that shows the vehicle’s driving behaviour before and after the collision. The vehicle traveled from where the incident occurred and turned left on McDermid Drive, then left again on Tabor Boulevard. Witnesses report seeing the vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. If anyone has information that can inform this investigation further, please contact the Prince George RCMP non-emergency line at 250-561-3300,” states Corporal Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.
The driver of truck was later arrested by RCMP.
