Two people have been arrested following a drive-by shooting in Dawson Creek during the overnight, Friday…
Police say just after 1 AM, officers responded to a report of shots fired on the 1100 block of 119th Ave. Officers arrived on scene and found a home had multiple gunshots to it. A suspect vehicle was seen speeding away from the location with officers catching up to conduct a traffic stop. The suspects in the vehicle then fired multiple shots at responding officers.
Not long after, officers once again located the vehicle but it was unoccupied. A Police Service Dog was brought in and the two suspects were eventually located and arrested. Both remain in custody.
A third suspect fled in a dark coloured mid-2000s GMC or Chevy pickup truck, which will have significant front-end damage from driving into a police car while evading arrest.
Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating the truck and suspect. The suspect is described as the following:
- Approximately 5’8″ tall
- Thin build
- Brown hair and eyes
- Has a tattoo down the right side of neck along his hair line
