Police are investigating after two separate reports of bank robberies occurred just days apart in Dawson Creek…
On June 19, 2026, at 5:36 p.m., the Dawson Creek RCMP received a report of a bank robbery at the RBC branch located at 10324 10th Street. A suspect entered through the East facing doors while wearing a black, full-face motorcycle helmet, black jacket, pants and gloves, with a ski mask and sunglasses on underneath the helmet. The suspect allegedly brandished a weapon and demanded cash. They ultimately fled the area on a scooter with an undisclosed amount of cash. Despite extensive patrols, police could not immediately locate the suspect.
On June 23, 2026, at 11:06 a.m., the Dawson Creek RCMP received a report of a bank robbery at the Scotia Bank branch located at 10204 10th Street. A suspect wearing a gray long sleeve shirt, a hat, black pants, face mask, sunglasses, and black gloves allegedly brandished a weapon and demanded cash. The suspect fled the area on a scooter with an undisclosed amount of cash and was not located by police.
βThe suspects are believed to be male, although no other descriptors are available,β said Staff Sergeant Kris Clark of the BC RCMP. βWhile the investigations remain in the early stages, police are working to determine whether there is any connection between the two cases.β
No one was physically injured during either event.
