Two people were arrested over the weekend following a dropped 9-1-1 call in Fort St. John…

Police say on Sunday, May 19, 2024 just after 6 AM, officers responded to the dropped call that was traced back to a business in the area of 107th Ave and 102nd Street. Officers attended the area and located two people, one with a knife wound to the chest. Both individuals were arrested.

The injured person was taken to hospital for treatment and transferred back to the Fort St. John RCMP detachment to be held for court on May 23, 2024. This person is being held due to failing to comply with a release order.

The other suspect was arrested for Assault with a Weapon and then released back into the community with a court date set for mid June 2024.
