A home on McIntyre Cres has been damaged following a structure fire during the overnight hours…
Fire crews from three halls were called to the 200 block of McIntyre Cres just after 2:30 AM this morning. Upon arrival of the first crew, they were met with heavy smoke and flames coming from the roof of the duplex unit.
Additional crews arrived on scene with a total of 15 crew members and 5 apparatus. All occupants were able to evacuate the home with no injuries.
The fire was quickly brought under control with most of the damage contained to the roof of the structure. Damage to the home is estimated to be $50,000.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
