The Prince George RCMP is currently investigating a shooting that occurred at a motel unit on the 2700-block of Spruce Street near Highway 97S…

Police say at 4:45 AM Tuesday (Jan 2) morning, officers attended a room for a report of shots fired and found one female victim with non-life-threatening injuries. She was transported to hospital by Emergency Health Services for treatment of her injuries. Several other people were located uninjured in the room.

“Investigators were able to identify several suspects and a suspect vehicle from the video surveillance available and within an hour multiple suspects were arrested at a residence on the 100-block of Anderson Street. Police officers will remain at that location as the investigation continues. We believe this to be a targeted shooting with no increased risk to the general public,” states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

The investigation is ongoing.
