One person was taken to hospital for observation after the home they were in caught fire Tuesday evening…
Just before 7 pm, fire crews from three halls responded to a structure fire on the 8000 block of St. John Crescent in College Heights. Upon arrival, crews were met with a large volume of smoke and flames coming from the home.
Crews used handlines and a master stream to extinguish the fire over several hours.
No one else was injured.
Damage to the home was extensive with an estimated $500,000 in damages.
