Two structure fires over the weekend caused over $50,000 worth of damage…
The first fire was on the 1700 block of Redwood Street in the Gateway.
A detached garage with a carport was fully engulfed in flames upon fire crew arrival. Thick black smoke filled the area. The fire was extinguished and there was no report of any injuries.
The cause of that fire remains under investigation.
The second fire occurred at 5th Ave and Ottawa Street on Sunday, April 30.
The fire occurred in an encampment and caused $1500 worth of damage. Nobody was injured in this fire.
This fire also remains under investigation.
