UPDATE: Road conditions have improved slightly in the Prince George region. As of 3:45 pm PST. Feb 1.

Motorists be advised that snowfall will continue throughout the day and overnight in the PG region. An additional 15 to 20 cm of snow is in the forecast, with the majority of the snow falling onto local highways and in Prince George, Quesnel and Williams Lake.

Highway 97 North to Mackenzie and south to Williams Lake is snow covered and caution is needed if you plan to travel today.

Highway 16 East and West of Prince George is also snow covered. Caution is needed along this portion as well.

Also, road conditions are considered to be fair in the South Peace region between Chetwynd and Dawson Creek, along Hwy 2 to the BC/AB border and to Grande Prairie, AB.
