UPDATE on June 16, 2022: The Prince George RCMP has confirmed the identity of the victim from Saturday’s fatal stabbing as 28-year-old Devon Lindstrom.

The investigation remains ongoing.

PRINCE GEORGE, BC: Police are continuing their investigation following a stabbing incident on Queensway Street in Prince George early this morning…

Police say on June 11, 2022, shortly after 5:00 AM, officers received information that a man had been stabbed at a commercial building on Queensway.

Upon police and ambulance arrival at the location, a man in his thirties was found suffering from life threatening injuries. He was transported by B.C. Ambulance Service to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Police remain at the location while the Serious Crime Unit along with Forensic Identification Services conduct their investigation. Police believe this is a targeted event and there is no increased risk to the public.

Investigators are not releasing the name of the victim.

Police did not mention if a suspect a had been arrested. The investigation continues and when more information is released we’ll update this story.
