Dual fire investigations underway in Prince George…

PRINCE GEORGE, BC: Police in Prince George are asking for the public’s help with a downtown fire that destroyed Barbers on 3rd on April 18, 2022…

Officers attended the fire scene and gathered witness statements and video surveillance. Fire investigators conducted a survey of the business and determined the cause of the fire to be arson. Police are currently following up on several leads regarding potential suspects.

Another fire began just before the one on 3rd ave, around 4:00 a.m., on the 2100-block of Quince Street, with police receiving reports of a residence fully engulfed in flame. Frontline officers blocked off the area and evacuated nearby residences. Fire investigators from Prince George RCMP and Prince George Fire and Rescue Service conducted a survey of the home; however, the cause of this fire remains inconclusive.

The truck spotted driving along 3rd Ave is described as a full-sized, two tone, dark-coloured pickup.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported in either event. Both files remain under investigation.
