PRINCE GEORGE, BC: The Prince George RCMP is requesting the public’s help in locating an overdue fisherman last seen on April 12, 2022…
Missing is 62 year-old Stanley DeLong. DeLong left the family home in Prince George at 8:00 AM on April 12 to go fishing on the Pelican Lake Forest Service Road. His plan was to cross the Chilako River at the 42km mark and to fish at that location.
Family states that Stanley is familiar with the area his was going to, and that he is usually home by dinnertime after a fishing trip.
Stanley Delong is described as:
- Caucasian male
- 5’9” tall
- 146 lbs.
- Blue eyes
- Balding with grey hair
- Bushy, white beard
- Wears glasses
- Last seen wearing jeans and a grey and white plaid, quilted jacket
- He is driving a white 2011 GMC Sierra crew cab truck with a canopy, license plate PL8591.
Police have made extensive patrols in the area Stanley stated he would be in but have not located any sign of him or his truck. It is believed that Stanley has extra clothing with him so he may not be in the same clothes family saw him in when he went missing.
“Stanley’s family is concerned for his well-being as it is unlike him not to return after a fishing trip. Police are asking the public to keep an eye out for Stanley and to report any sign of him or his truck to please call 250-561-3300 to speak with an officer.”
