PRINCE GEORGE, BC: The Prince George RCMP is currently investigating another homicide after shots were fired Sunday night on Spruce Street…

Police say just after 8:30 PM on March 27, 2022, officers responded to a report of gunshots on the 1800 block of Spruce Street.

When officers arrived they found a male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Police provided medical attention to the man until B.C. Ambulance Service arrived to transport the male to hospital. The male victim did not survive his injuries.

Investigators from the Integrated Forensic Identification Section, Police Dog Services and Serious Crime Unit attended to assist in the investigation.

“This is the third targeted homicide in Prince George since the beginning of 2022. The investigation to date indicates this is a targeted shooting and we do not believe there is an increased risk to the public as a result. We are appealing to anyone with information relating to this event to come forward and speak with police,” states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, media spokesperson for the Prince George RCMP.

Investigators are asking that anyone with video surveillance or dash cam footage from between 8:00 and 8:30 PM on Sunday night in the area of the 1800 block of Spruce Street contact police by calling 250-561-3300. Please quote file number 2022-10213.
