Suspect attempts escape by swimming across Nechako River…
PRINCE GEORGE, BC: One man was arrested over the weekend following a suspected B&E on Miworth Road…
Police say on November 13, 2021, shortly before 3:00 PM, the Prince George RCMP received a report of a possible B&E on the 12000 block of Miworth Road.
Officers, including a Police Service Dog, attended the area and found the male had fled on foot and was tracked to the Nechako River. The male suspect swam across the river and ended up on the 9000 block of North Nechako Road.
The PDS team and Frontline members located the male in the backyard of a nearby residence and with the assistance of the police service dog, investigators arrested the suspect. Police identified the man as 31-year-old Prince George resident, Joshua Alexander NEUMANN.
The B.C. Prosecution Service approved the following charges against NEUMANN:
- Mischief
- Theft Under $5000
- Break and Enter with Intent
- Possession of Break In Instruments
- Fail to Comply with Release Order
NEUMANN will remain in custody until his next court appearance.
