FORT ST. JOHN, BC: One man has been arrested following an incident at a home on the 269 Road Saturday afternoon…

Police say on April 24 at approximately 3:00 PM, officers received a report that a female had been stabbed at a home on the 269 Road.

Officers immediately responded to the area and upon their arrival learned a male had potentially barricaded himself in the residence with a rifle. The scene was contained and the North District RCMP Emergency Response Team was called in from Prince George to assist in the matter.

Approximately 10 hours later, at around 1 AM, the North District RCMP arrested the man and turned the incident back over the Fort St. John RCMP for further investigation.

Police in Fort St. John continue to investigate. No further details have been released on the injured woman.
