PRINCE GEORGE, BC: A woman was arrested on Wednesday afternoon following an incident at London Drugs and Dollar Tree in the Parkwood Mall…

Police say at 3:30 PM, on March 10, 2021, the Prince George RCMP received a call about a female who was currently in the London Drugs committing theft. Staff also stated the suspect threatened members of staff with a knife at the neighbouring Dollar Tree.

Officers immediately attended the London Drugs at 1600 15th Avenue where staff directed them to the middle of the store. The Loss Prevention Officer pointed out a female and indicated she was the theft suspect and the suspect from the threats at the Dollar Store, as well.

“Members approached the female and identified her from previous interactions as 51-year-old Theresa JOSEPH,” states Cst. Jennifer Cooper of the Prince George RCMP. “Police arrested JOSEPH for theft and transported her to the Prince George RCMP Detachment where she remained until her first court appearance.”

While at the detachment, members found a folding knife in the suspects possession. The knife matched the description of the one used to threaten Dollar Store staff.

The B.C. Prosecution’s Service approved charges of Robbery, Assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon, Uttering threats and Obstruction of a police officer against Ms. Joseph.
