DAWSON CREEK, BC: Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a male following a fire at a local business…

Police say at approximately 2:20 AM, on September 2, the Dawson Creek RCMP was dispatched to a report of a fire atΒ the 7-ElevenΒ on 8th street.

Investigation has revealed that a male entered the store, purchased cigarettes, left the store and went behind the building at which he was viewed on surveillance to strike aΒ match.Β Shortly thereafter,Β persons nearby noted a fire at the same location and notified employees whomΒ were able to extinguish the fire.

The male is described as:

  • Caucasian male
  • 30 to 35 years old
  • Wearing a ball cap
  • Associated to a Ford Escape
