QUESNEL, BC: On August 25th at approximately 1:45 pm, Quesnel RCMP officers located and arrested Aaron Stone SMART, 23, the man alleged to have assaulted two off duty police officers with bear spray, after committing a Robbery from a local business on August 24th, 2018.
Charges of Robbery and Assaulting a Peace Officer with a Weapon have been recommended from the August 24th incident. SMART was also arrested on several other outstanding warrants.
Staff Sergeant Andrew BURTON, Detachment Commander, credits the quick arrest to the dedication of the investigating officers from the Quesnel RCMP.
SMART is in custody pending his next court appearance August 28, 2018 in Quesnel Provincial Court.
